Setting up your Trezor hardware wallet is a straightforward process that packs powerful security into a few simple steps. Whether you're using the Model One or the Model T, the setup is designed with user-friendliness and protection in mind.
Start by visiting the official website, trezor.io/start. Here, you’ll be guided to download Trezor Suite, the native software that lets you interface with your wallet. Once connected via USB, your device will prompt you to install the latest firmware.
Next, you’ll create a new wallet and receive a 12- or 24-word recovery seed phrase. Write this down and store it offline—this is your master key. Losing it means losing access to your assets, while keeping it secure ensures full control.
Trezor will then prompt you to set a strong PIN. This adds another security layer in case your device falls into the wrong hands. From there, you can start sending, receiving, and managing crypto through the intuitive Trezor Suite dashboard.
For those new to hardware wallets, Trezor makes onboarding easy while maintaining robust protection. With your wallet set up, you’re now in full control of your digital wealth.
